Signs of an electrical problem

  The battery or alternator light is onThe charging system is telling you it is not keeping up. Ignore it and you will be getting a tow, usually in the cold.

  Battery troubleSlow cranking, needing a jump, or a battery that keeps going flat overnight. A battery that drains while parked is a parasitic draw, not a bad battery, and it needs tracing.

  Lights dimming or flickeringLow battery, a loose connection, an overloaded circuit, or a failing alternator. All findable.
